An Empowering Evening in Minneapolis

This year, we invite you to join us for the 2023 Global Rights for Women Annual Event: An Empowering Evening in Minneapolis to End Gender-Based Violence, being held at the Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. This evening event will include a reception of appetizers, beverages and socializing, and an exciting program featuring Emcee Jearlyn Steele, Global Rights for Women Executive Director Cheryl Thomas; Global Rights for Women local partner Amirthini Keefe and international colleague Eleni Fotou, 19th Poet Laureate of the United States Natasha Trethewey, and music performances by Diane Davis, Timothy Thomas and Shahin Lahooti, and pianist Mary Louise Knutson. A free livestream of the event will also be available.
