Nazifa Wazirzada is the Program Coordinator at Global Rights for Women. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2019. She pursued her degree in International Studies and Communication with a minor in Chinese. Nazifa had the opportunity to attend high school in Shanghai, China, which she is thankful for as it propelled her interest in international nonprofit work. She worked as an intern with Global Minnesota in Minneapolis helping connect local communities to international issues, cultures, and policies. Furthermore, she interned at the International Rescue Committee in Sacramento, helping newly arrived refugee and asylum seekers successfully integrate into their community. Nazifa has developed a passion for finding sustainable and effective ways to alleviate ongoing inequalities on a local and international level. Nazifa enjoys hanging out with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, finding new shows to watch, as well as venturing out to new restaurants and trying new foods in her spare time.
